Our Mission

As a team, we strive to use the finest and freshest commodities and transform them into dishes that truly showcase their flavours and the land from which they came. It is our intent to work closely with our vendors and purveyors in order to ensure we receive the freshest and finest ingredients they have to offer in any season. This relationship is the foundation of our cuisine; therefore attention must constantly be paid to nurturing and growing said relationship. Trust, value, consistency, and reliability are just a few things we demand of our purveyors, and by reciprocating those ideals we allow a successful and healthy relationship to flourish.

Through our vendors, we have access to the freshest and finest commodities available in the City of Toronto and across Canada. These resources shall not be squandered but rather celebrated by our cooks, servers, and clientele alike.

Through every event we are a part of we set precedent, in which our clients find trust. As a result we work diligently to maintain a level of excellence by our own means and to exceed expectations set forth by others.

Brief History

This company began four years with a young chef and his dream of bringing his food and philosophy to public through private dining. The New Style Catering Co. Has slowly evolved into a business that caters not only to the gastronomic needs of clients, but to their needs as business owners, marketing executives, purveyors of fine foodstuffs, and of course special events for every occasion. CHEFJOEL studied as an apprentice across Southern Ontario and Whistler, BC before finishing his formal culinary training at The Stratford Chefs School. After graduating in the Class of 2006, CHEFJOEL got the opportunity to oversee his first kitchen and restaurant project at a small cafe in Port Perry. That was the first of what has developed into a niche service offered by CHEFJOEL.

Over the course of the next four years, CHEFJOEL has had to opportunity to set up and run kitchens at executive retreats, culinary centres, pubs, and restaurants. CHEFJOEL brings over 10 years of experience to every client, and a wealth of first-hand management of several commercial kitchen projects. Most chefs dream for the chance to design and build one kitchen, and we want to help them with that dream.

CHEFJOEL still specializes in small dinner parties in the homes of their clients, and treats each client as though they are our only client. We offer the initial consultation with our clients for free in order to get a personal sense of what they envision their event to be.
